Accredited – Insured – Independent - Thorough

Pre-Purchase Condition and Valuation: SCS Marine Surveying will help you understand what you are getting into with your chosen vessel by knowing more about it. SCS Marine Surveying will inspect, using high tech equipment and traditional techniques, and report back to you by email, in great detail, usually in two to three working days.

Survey information and written reports are presented to our client, and only our client, in a timely manner. Reports are in verbal report format, not a vague response like a √ in a box or a word in a blank, easy to read, with detailed pictures of important findings. It’s better to know before you buy. “Fair and balanced” has been used by clients and sellers alike to describe our demeanor.

Insurability Condition and Valuation: Following the same format as the Pre-Purchase survey, this service is performed for the owner but tailored to fulfill the needs of marine insurance underwriters and lending institutions.

SCS Marine Surveys follow compliance with United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), US Coast Guard rules and regulations, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) recommendations.

Damage and Claim assignments are conducted in a timely and professional manner. Work is done for either the insurer or the insured, with integrity and the best interests of our client in mind. SCS Marine Surveying reports are detailed and thorough, giving our client valuable information to help navigate through the claims process.
